About the character... Chelsea Brady (born Georgia Brady on May 22, 1998, in Louisiana) is a character on the television drama Days of our Lives. Since her introduction into the show in 2005, her birth year has been adjusted from 1998 to 1988. Chelsea is currently played by actress Rachel Melvin, who is on contract with the show. The character was originally played on a recurring basis by Mandy Musgrave. Chelsea is the long-lost daughter of Billie Reed and Bo Brady, who was initially buried in the bayou as Georgia Brady in May 1988. The truth came out when Chelsea Benson's adopted parents were killed in a car accident and blood tests revealed her true lineage. Billie immediately stepped in to care for Chelsea, who opted to keep the last name Benson. Since 2006, Chelsea changed her last name to Brady, her biological father's last name. |
